In November 2025, everything hit at once—right as I was about to leave for my holiday craft show tour.
I did all the things that usually help me cope: reading, running, yoga, journaling, talking to friends. None of it worked. After an emergent late-night hotline call, I finally tried therapy—something I had avoided for years. It didn’t go the way I hoped. After three sessions, my therapist told me he didn’t think he could help. Honestly, I felt the same.
At that point, I couldn’t imagine feeling joy again. I wasn’t suicidal, but I didn’t have the will to live either.
And then…the tour started.
Somewhere between cities, something shifted. I reconnected with dear friends in New York, Philadelphia and Chicago. Hearing their stories, feeling their care—it grounded me in a way nothing else had. It reminded me I wasn’t alone.
After the tour, I made a few small changes. Nothing dramatic. But slowly, things started to feel…good again.
Life feels awesome now, in a way I didn’t think was possible back then.
If you’re in a dark place: hold on. Stay close to your people. Hope can come back, even when it feels completely out of reach 💛
