Happiness is Homemade

‘Happiness is homemade.’ 2024. This piece immediately became people’s favorite. However, few people know the inspiration behind it.

In 2023, I was tied up with art creation and didn’t prioritize my health. In 2024, I was determined to improve my mental health and physical health. Coincidentally, I watched a few documentaries about plant-based diets. I was touched by the story of @danielhumm @elevenmadisonpark. I was inspired by him doing what he believed was right and moved the needle in fine dining restaurants.

Initially this piece was titled ‘Veganism: the act of love.’ But a cat can’t live without protein. I then added a fish and changed the title. This piece reminds me to be the change I wish to see in the world.

The Giclée print is an archival museum quality print of original work. The original painting was scanned, color corrected, then printed on 300gsm fine art paper with archival ink.
